How to find flights to Los Angeles

The "City of Angles" is the largest in California and home to Hollywood, the place where the dreams are made. The city is served by six commercial airports which receive flights to Los Angles from all over the world.

The primary airport of Los Angeles is Los Angeles International Airport (IATA:LAX) which is a huge airport with 9 terminals. The airport is located in southwester Los Angeles at 16miles/26km from the city center. The airport is the fifth biggest in the world and receives flights to Los Angels from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Oceania and Middle East. The airport is a major hub for United Airlines and an important focus point for American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

Terminal 1 is the largest of all and is where Southwest Airlines and US Airways land their domestic flights. Terminal 2 is the international terminal, where airlines such as Air Canada, Air France, KLM and Virginia Atlantic land offering flights to Los Angeles from pretty much every corner of the world. Terminal 3 is yet another domestic terminal, where AirTrain Airways, Frontier Airlines, Alaska Airlines and several other domestic carriers land. Terminal 4 receives both domestic and international flights while Terminal 5 receives only international flights. Terminals 6, 7 and 8 also receive only domestic flights. Tom Bradley International Terminal opened in 1984 and receives only international flights.

To get from the airport to the city center you can take a bus, the FlyAway Bus shuttle service, the metro rail, taxis or rent a car.
