he cityís largest airport is Barcelona International Airport (IATA: BCN) which receives flights to Barcelona from Europe and all over the world. Several low-cost carriers, including Jet2.com, easyJet, Ryanair and BlueAir, offer flights into the city which makes flying here, especially from Europe, very affordable. The airport, also known as El Prat, has three terminals, all within easy walking distance from each other.
There are several duty-free shops where you can do a bit of shopping and then go by the tax-free shopping refund office if you are not a member of the European Union. If you need to use your laptop donít worry since there is free WiFi access in the airport. There are plenty of cafes in the airport but please note that all of them located post-security check are closed between 10 PM and 11 PM.
To get from the airport to the city center you can take the taxi, RENFE suburban train or the aerobus. The trains leave every 30 minutes and one way ticket costs Ä2.20 (or you can use your T-10 ticket (valid for 10 trips). Aerobus A1 departs every 6-9 minutes and costs Ä4.05 one way. Donít worry about the heat since your will be cold rather than hot in them as buses are heavily air-conditioned. Aerobus stops working at midnight but there are Nit Buses available during the night.
